Ticknock is nestled in the foothills of the Three Rock Mountain, just 30 minutes from the Dublin City centre. There are three large rock formations from which the mountain receives its name are the result of weathering over thousands of years. In the area, there is also a Two Rock Mountain at 536 meters above sea level and the infamous ruins of the Fairy Castle.
With spectacular views over the Capital City and Dublin Bay it's no wonder that Ticknock is one of the most popular tourist attractions on the east coast. The trails are all sign posted and there are multiple map boards along the route.
