Core Skills Lesson

This course is for those looking to improve all aspects of their riding. Our core skills lesson builds on the basic skills you have learned on previous courses, or indeed over time yourself. We recommend having a minimum of 3 months mountain bike experience before attending, this way you'll be sure to get the most out of the session.

  • Review and refresh of fundamentals
  • Front wheel lift
  • Rear wheel lift
  • Manual
  • Track stands
  • Bunny hops (linear and lateral)
  • Low level drop-offs
  • Bike setup
  • Question and answer sessions.

Terrain

There will be a mix of trail centre trails and single track in the core skills session. Please note there may be technically demanding sections of trail.

Fitness

Participants require a basic level of fitness. The course will focus on skills rather than the physical aspect of the sport.

Duration

10am to 1pm - 3 hours. 9.45 meeting time.
