We've put together an equipment checklist if you are renting a bike or taking a tour/lesson.

Clothing

Suitable clothing for biking in all weather conditions. A breathable base layer is advised rather than a cotton t-shirt and baggy shorts would be more suitable than tracksuit bottoms. You should also bring a rain jacket just in case.

Pedals

Flat pedals are provided as standard on our rental bikes. If you prefer to bring your own pedals, or use SPD (or similar) pedals please advise us at the time of booking.

Helmet

Standard cycling helmets are fine for mountain biking. If you have prefer to use your own helmet, please remember to bring it with you. If you are unsure that your helmet is suitable, your instructor will be able to advise you.

Food and Drink

It's important to keep your energy levels up while cycling. We advise bringing some snack food, water or sports drink.

Other Important Stuff

Ensure your mobile phone is fully charged and kept inside a plastic lunch bag to protect it from water. It might also be a good idea to bring a backpack to help carry everything.

Forms

If you are taking part in an activity, please remember to bring your medical information form or youth consent form if under 18 years of age.
